Week 2

This week has been amazing and crazy! We got to watch Elder Hales(one of the twelve apostles) funeral so that was awesome and the spirit was so strong!   Also on Friday the apostles are coming to dedicate the new MTC buildings so that's going to be a super amazing experience! 

Funny story, on Friday my companion and I got back from TRC which is where we teach investigators and one of the other sisters from our district was studying on the couch so we hung out there with her. Her companion was showering then went to bed. So when we were going to go to bed the door to our dorm was locked. We were pounding on the door trying to wake Sister Burila up. We tried for like a hour to wake her up and finally gave up. So we were in the common area and made a bed out of the couches and had to sleep out there. We also made a sign so that we wouldn’t get in trouble. At like 3am a security guard came and said she could let us in. We woke up so fast!   She had the wrong key so she had to walk back to the front desk…45 minutes later we finally got In our room. We got 2 hours of sleep so the next day was rough!  
 Yesterday my companion had a crazy allergic reaction to something.   She got a crazy rash everywhere and her throat started swelling up so we had to go to the after hours clinic to see a doctor.   That was a adventure!

I have learned so much from being here!  Mostly I'm a baller at spike ball, haha!
On a serious note the spirit that you feel here is incredible, like you’d have to try hard to not feel it. Also we teach real investigators which are people learning about the church, but it's hard because we only teach them for a week and you want so badly for them to have the blessings that the gospel brings. Today we got to go to the temple which was an amazing experience as usual.  I felt the spirit testify to me over and over that I was in the right place doing what I was supposed to be doing.  Next week we go to Colorado which is super exciting!  Everyone please pray that my trainer is awesome!  So if I am not able to email next week that's why but I will try my best to.

Week 11 Hello! It's been a great week! It went by so fast! Crazy story… we do service at a food bank called Joshua’s and this week when we were there the BBC came and did a story on poverty in America and filmed us helping people! So we are going to be on the news in England! Hit me up when I'm famous! Haha just kidding!  Another crazy story, on Friday the Elders who live three houses down from us were waiting outside our apartment for us. Then told us they needed some advice, then proceeded to tell us they got in a fight and one of them, Elder Brunner, had a gash on the side of his head! They were wondering if they should go to the hospital… ya, we told them they should! It was crazy!   We went on exchanges this week which was so fun! I went with Sister Clark and the people we ate dinner with had a stuffed bear that the dad had shot, haha! We also saw some beautiful lights! Also she let me drive! I miss driving so much!  Also sad day, Sister Francom leaves on Thursday

10-31-17 Hey Everyone! This week has been so long but it felt so short! We have had some crazy adventures! Our landlord Debbie is absolutely crazy, so that's fun! She called and freaked out on us because someone used the bathroom in the middle of the night and it woke our upstairs neighbor, haha. In our apartment there is an outside door, and then we go downstairs to get to our actual apartment. The lady upstairs locked the outside door so we couldn't get into our apartment so we had to climb through the window, and the neighbor called and told Debbie. So Debbie freaked out again!   I'm so glad the STL’s live there and Sister Zimmerman is such a kind soul because I would not have been able to stay calm the whole time. We did see a lot of miracles this week which was awesome! The Elders before us were teaching an investigator named James who is very anti sister missionaries, and this week he let us into his home and we had a wonderful lesson! We have an investigator nam

Week 13 Hello Everyone! First of all Merry Christmas!  I hope you all had a great one!  Mine was amazing! We went to an old folks home and sang Christmas songs to them  and it was way fun.  They loved it and were so grateful.  Also I got to talk to my family!  It was so good to see and talk to them!  I miss them a lot.  Our mission president gave us permission to watch The Best Two Years, which is a movie about missionaries.  We got to do that at the Katz’s house, who are these really rich people that have a theater room! It was so cool! We also got to have zone conference  on Friday  which was super fun! We did a white elephant gift exchange and I ended up with a football sippy cup! Today we had district pday and it was so fun! We played basketball and soccer and zombies, which is a tag game with nerf guns! It was awesome! It snowed so much here this week! It was crazy! On one of the days it was so bad that we weren't allowed the drive our cars. That was a fun day, haha!
